Adam, I notice you don't have a how-to for converting the main dials- as shown on your avatar.
Any chance of one, as I quite fancy doing this!

Amazingly I didn't take any photos! God only knows why - I think I was just really engrossed in doing it! If i had all the bits again I could do one - will see what's on eBay... The dials were meant for a Rover 216 (G-M Reg).

I think they would sell well.:yesnod:AdamElphick;17014 wrote: I did speak to the company that makes the dials and they said if enough people asked they woudl think about it - but basically we are just lucky with Mk1's that the dials are lifted straight from the Rover wedges (good old parts bin!)

How many would they need? Would it be worth doing a quick straw poll to see how many people would want them if they were available? Maybe we could do a group buy?AdamElphick;17014 wrote: I did speak to the company that makes the dials and they said if enough people asked they woudl think about it - but basically we are just lucky with Mk1's that the dials are lifted straight from the Rover wedges (good old parts bin!)
I would want a set for one.:yesnod: The original dial illumination is pathetic!

Considering they have the ones to fit the mk1 F already, I wouldn't have thought it would take much to make 1 hole instead of two for the odometer to suit the mk2, and move the redline for the VVC?CJJ;17067 wrote: I would love blue plasmery type guages, but it would have to be the later type and have the VVC redline.

Has anybody attempted to backlight the original dials? Is it feasible?CJJ;17079 wrote: I hope so. Would seriously consider it.
