Hope it all goes well. Mine's due in March with the added fun of my wife's car needing it's first MoT at the same time.

Thanks Andy,
Even though I've checked it all over, it's still a nervous time.

Fingers crossed.

I don't expect DeepBlue to pass the next one. Too much clunking going on. May need to Polybush. It's a while off yet though.

I asked the tester to note down the brake results for future reference.

Jet Black has newish discs, pads and calipers and the fluid was replaced this year.
At the moment I would have to say that they feel better than they have ever done.

So with standard 240mm setup the readings are:-

Front nearside 215 kgf
Front offside 195 kgf
Rear nearside 165 kgf
Rear offside 175 kgf

These figures are interesting when compared to Clive's readings when he was fitting his 280mm rear brake upgrade. I hope Clive won't mind me using his data.

Standard rear brakes:- 145kgf ; 165kgf - I think one of Clive's rear brakes was slightly weak.

Ap fronts/304 discs:- 205kgf ; 310kgf - Again, one of Clive's Aps was weak, (Due to a stuck pad) interestingly, giving a reading similar to a 240mm disc front brake.

280 rear upgrade:- 205kgf ; 220kgf - The rear upgrade shows improvement, giving similar results to my standard fronts.

I will probably come back to this data again.

Me? Worried, no- but then again these testers sometimes like to come up with something obscure to spoil your day!
