There is a way of doing this, my friend and i are working on a lagless system, the biggest issue here is maintaining 100% boost behind the throttle boddies... we have developed our own throttle bodies to allow this...
we are using a non-exhaust T68 turbo, running at 95,000rpm... that is about as much detail as i can go into on a public forum without you signing an NDA
We believe we can maintain full boost all the time, but the system is gear'd towards track/race applications as its not particularly fuel efficient!
(we are trying to compensate for that in other ways)...
Oz.

Sounds interesting Oz. Will you be using water injection to control detonation on overrun?

No, shouldnt be an issue due to the throttle body we have designed...
what we have designed means that on 0 throttle input the engine should behave like a naturally aspirated engine, overrun should not be an issue, and it stays that way untill you get back to any throttle again when you have 100% boost available again...
unless i have miss understood your question?

small issue of the lack of funding we have to develop it further
we have been given an Elise/VX Chassis to use as a development mule, but need power plants (thats right 2 in the 1 car!) a gearbox and the throttle boddies have to be made up from the CAD drawings!
when i get 5-7k i can dump into this project it might get moving again!
