all is well. :)

Had the car a year now and just starting to feel confident it will not let me down. :)

There is so much bad press about these cars on the forums but I don't think they are as bad as sometimes described. Any car a few years old will give a few little niggles.

You're right, sometimes people forget that these cars are not new.

Complaining about tyres and brakes etc needing replacing is not logical.

All I have had to do is routine servicing and disc pads. I am not complaining at all.

Better not say too much though...........don't want to talk trouble up. B)

I've spent about £500 all in for repairs in the 5 years I've owned Meg (and £350 of that was due to HGF that was badly repaired by previous owner) so I think she's been quite cheap to run really. I would have spent a fortune on payments for a new car, and if I'd got a Jap Crap roadster and had HGF (which they do get!) it would have set me back considerably more....

Al in all they are good little runabouts that have the added bonus of being a really fun soft top roaster!

Well the Blue Meanie has cost a few pounds since I got her three months ago but it's all been things that you would expect to need replacing at some point - rear discs and pads, four new tyres and a new roof. I still feel that I got her for a cracking price and anything I pay out I'm going to see all the benefit.

Back with front wheel drive and 181HP at the wheels :)

I do know what you mean, I have a Nissan 200 turbo; it's a far better car in many ways but I lavish all my time and attention on the MGF.
