unsure switch was created by rayb

i was tinkiering about in the engine bay to day and found this switch dangling above the coolant tank not sure if it goes anywhere maybe you guys could enlighten me

yes thats it, i couldnt figure out where it had come from, i know its a sensor of somesort but to what

It's the AAT ambient air temp sensor, it controls the engine bay fan. If you disconnect it, the fan should operate.(ignition on)

Do you mean you have the plug and switch dangling, or just the cable and plug?

if you look at the pics, it is the plug and the sensor.

It should be fitted into the metal bracket (as in David's photo) it is definately the AAT sensor, has the bracket gone missing? :evil:

no the bracket is still there i must of knocked it when i was tinkering round the engine bay. thanks guys
