Want to change my dials over to black ones much like the le500, I've been removing all shiny stuff from the car so think black would go better than white.

Jason the guy who was making the dial sets up last year can't do them anymore (he's tried for me but can't get it right on new materials)

Has any body had any experience with either of these guys

or

http://www.lockwoodinternational.co.uk/

If the glowing dials guys would do an unprinted Electroluminescence dial that could act as the backlighting. That what the Metal monkey guys are doing but don't for the MGF

I've heard of Lockwood dials - seem to be good.

You can get black plasma dials also.

Could paint the needles with UV paint and change the front lighting bulbs with ultravilot Leds. That would make them light up pretty well.

The plasma dials look neat at night but I didn't like the day time veiw until I saw the black ones, shame they aren't available for any of my cars.

They definatly need some sort of illumination for the needles.

Guys, I have just ordered from Metal Monkey a heater plate for Mk1 F ( to replace the scratched plastic thing). Naomi there seem very responsive and I mailed her a photo and they are making it up as I require for 22.10 GBP all in, which to me is a good deal and since its metal won't scratch up like the factory fitting. Its going to take a few weeks before it arrives to will let you know how it turns out. If its a good job then I may go for back lit main dials.

The little led lighting rings that fit under them are the expensive bit.

Also here's a little tip for you all. Don't leave the new needles where a dog can get at them...and chew one... Great! Super!

It was Arthur that did it! ungrateful mutt! :yesnod: Luckily there was enough left to fabricate a new one, utilising one of the original needles. It doesn't quite match but it's close enough and still lights up.
