Found an advert in this weeks Auto Express for AlloyGator rim protectors go to www.alloygator.com They cost £45 a set (plus £4.50 p&p) come in many colours and one size fits rims up to 20" and can be fitted without removing the tyre.

I wish I'd found those before my wheels found the kerbs!

I like the sound of the silver ones, cover the damage thats already there and makes your wheels look bigger, bonus or what?

Just been outside in the snow and seen some of these on, of all things, a VW Transporter with enormous rims. Looked quite good although not so sure about his colour choice. I think they'd probably look best in black as they look like extra bits of rubber on the tyre rather than an extension of the wheels.

Back with front wheel drive and 181HP at the wheels :)

What colour were they?

Very blue, slightly lighter than Trophy Blue on a silver van with almost chromed silver wheels.

I would think wheel-coloured or black would look best.:yesnod:

I like these! I have already managed to scuff teh very edge one of Megs alloys after all that palaver I had refurbishing the bloody things in the summer!

I would't say no to a red set I think - I wonder if we could get a group discount?

Having watched the video for the Alloy Gators I don't think these are the same thing - the eBay item mentions 6 clips and the ones in the original link in this thread don't use clips at all.
