Deepblue now has a friend. was created by cjj

Welcome to Big Blue.

Another K series in the family. She will be getting the works when the weather settles down, but for now, she is my TF for the snow. I would have said F, but it has real suspension.

She has now been added to the "Fleet" and is parked on the "forecourt"

Not sure if any posts/how to's will be applicable to this site. I think a 4x4 section just for me might be a little extravagant. ;) It does need some work and I will be refurbing the engine/drive train as I go. It has done 136,000 miles.

Sooo, if I am missing and not under the TF, have a look under the Freelander.

To be honest, I have been on a few just looking, and they seem, in general, a bunch on knobs who really value their own opinion while managing to be arrogant towards newbies who ask "silly" little questions.

A few of them have quotes in their sig of other people saying how wonderful they are, while one has a poem of how great he is. I find that sort of stuff a bit arrogant and nauseating, even if it is in jest, which I don't think it is.

I will probably be posting on the .org LR bit, just to keep the posts in the right place, but I don't think it is very active compared to what we are used to.

And is it staying at 120? Or will we see a Freelander 160 at some point?:)

Back with front wheel drive and 181HP at the wheels :)

You thinking of fitting the 4x4 to the F? ;)

Interestingly, it is the same engine and gearbox, with a smaller box fitted to the front O/S output which splits that output between the O/S wheel and the rear drive.

Well, anythings possible. Not sure the power range on a VVC would suit it, but a new head may appear sometime. :)

Less cooling issues with a Freelander so I guess the supercharger/turbocharger route makes more sense than VVC.

4x4 TF thats mod and half, if only we could get enough airflow to move the raditor to back, then you run the drive shaft where the pipes where.

Totally nuts idea and I'm a server techie not a mechanic but could you move the radiator to the boot? It would need some pretty radical surgery to the bootlid and probably the back of the car too but doing that would free a lot of space both under the bonnet and under the car
