Electronic ignition for early Fs?

Just looking at bits for the Freelander and noticed this.

It is an electronic unit that replaces the points in a distributor ignition system. Quite cheap and would probably improve the reliability.

Can it be used for the F and is it worth it?

There aren't any points in the F distributor are there? It's all electronic already I think.

Not sure mate. I don't have an F.

The F is already electronic, got a simmilar jobby on my MGB but an optronic one :whistle:

OOh is that a lumenition one? I had one of those on my old Triumph 2500Pi once upon a time!

I had a lumenition ignition on my 1976 Capri 3.0! I loved that car!

I had one of the last Carousels and it was lovely - got written off by a 'white van man' kindly driving directly into my passenger door!
