Setting fire to my F for Christmas

Christmas Eve was the day and this is how it started
I had to go to Bradford for the company xmas drink and handing out of prezzies to the staff
So tried the F, it was a bit of a pain to get started with it being so cold, so I gave it a squirt of Nos, but the battery was to flat by then to fire it up, so I got it hooked up to the 4x4 and gave it a squirt again, as I thought the other one would have disappeared by then
Tried to start it and got one hell of a bang, the sort of sound like a gun short but ten times louder
So I thought I better check the engine and guess what, I had no air filter the Piper cross viper had blown to bits and the foam was now doing a great job of warming the engine with flames about 6-8 inches licking round the engine bay....lol and me having ripped out the engine grill stood blowing it out from a foot away trying to push my head through the top slot...lol
I ended up grabbing a couple of hand fulls of burning foam and pulling it out, this got more comical as it stuck to my fingers...lol
Guess what though it started great after that, so I left it off and drove a 250 mile round trip, bought a cheap halfords enclosed filter on the way home
when I fitted it I found the old air filter has also ripped the top off the carbon canister.....all good fun an its still running great
I'll get some pics at some point
