hi just taken my heater blower out as it was not working on number 1
i bought REZPAX of ebay and changed the coils. i managed to take a few snaps of the before and after. in all honesty it took me just under a hour to do

the pics are not to clear but in the first pic shows how brittle they had become
then the new coils
after they have been solderd in place

I used the Rezpak when i did mine - works a treat :)

You must be a contortionist to have done the whole job in that time :cheer:

I found taking the glove box out helped enormously.:yesnod:

I replaced the coils with Maplins resistors. However you do it, it's great to have a full choice of fan speeds again.

well hood down legs up in the air, it reminded me of changing the coolant pipes on the metros,maestros and montegos oh what fun i had back then with them blighters. best to take the glovebox out gives you more room, move the air vent then its just taking the 2 screws out and resoldering the new coils in

I did it with the passenger door wide open, kneeling on the ground next to the car!

haha im a slim type of chap and can contort my body a bit, i find working under the dash like this helps a bit you can get right up and have a good gander underneath. the only hard bit is reaching for a screw driver.:lol:
