Last night the girlfriend came home an said the brake light was on, so I had a nosey
the from to rear pipe was weaping a bit and over god knows how long has lost fluid and propabily the pads wearing out too
so would you top it up and leave it
or
Do what I've just done and make all new rear brake pipes and check over the rest of the brakes just encase, I noticed the front pads are really low so I'll replace them over the weekend

Or sell as - but point out the defect in writing, and emphasise safety.

I would agree with David. It depends on how much your ebay bids go up to?? assume that it still has a valid mot i would be inclined to list the defects in writing and advise the safety aspect and save yourself the time and trouble doing the jobs.
Replace the pipes and pads if you feel happier about selling it this way, but also point out what you have done as an added bonus.

It's cheap piece of mind for you.
The flip side is that if you were to disclose a fault like that it would likely put off any buyers who
aren't able to do the work themselves. It would cost a couple of hundred to have that done at a workshop
rather than the 20 it cost you in parts. I would say that was a good investment.

How do you get away with it? i get grief for having a carpet set in the back room - oh and a back box - and a set of rear lights, air horns, door mirrors, Laguna puddle lights - mmm maybe she has a point!
