Rear Window

My rear window is starting to fade. Do rejuvenators actually work, and if so, are there any recommended ones; or should I resign myself to buying a replacement. It also has a couple of light creases - any suggested methods on getting rid of these would be appreciated too.

Whilst on the subject - I take it if I decided to go for glass I would need to replace the whole hood?

First thing, if the screens scratched you can improve it with greygate polish.

If it's just a bit cloudy, clean it inside and out with any glass cleaner then coat both sides with Autoglym resin polish(or similar) and after it hazes, polish it off in the normal way - It'll come up really well!

For creases, use a hair dryer to heat up the window and soften the plastic when the hood is up so that the window will flatten. out.

And you can just get the back panel with the glass window and swap them. It's just pop rivetted across the bottom. That;s what I've just done!:yesnod:

Thanks David, Luckily, no scratches. I'll pop in Halfords tomorrow and give it a go with Autoglym.
Now that I know you don't need to change the hood, I think glass could be the way to go eventually. Saves a bit of time on the unzipping/zipping regime :cheer: Also be handy to have a demister.

Yeah, I must admit that I have been very happy with the glass screen. Quick demist when it's frosty and no worries about cracking the window.. Much easier to drop the roof now.
I know some people are concerned that it will restrict the rear view because it's smaller, but because it's so much clearer it's not a problem.
Also I have hoops so the rear view is more restricted by them.

Fitting a Glass upgrade panel should take less than an hour; watch me fitting one in 15 minutes:
