Two new Tyres.

I've just had two Nexen 3000s fitted to the MGF yesterday.:yesnod:

2x 215/40/16s- total price fitted and balanced - £96

Excellent value for these tyres!

Hi I need two rear boots for my car:( but confused (.com) the ones on there at the moment are 205 50 r15?

But not sure if that i steh correct size for the car.

I have a TF2003 any help would be welcome--needed

Bob, Tfs with 15" wheels do have 205/50 15 on the rear.
I get my tyres from a local tyre garage, they always beat any other place for price and service.:yesnod:

Hello bobtf and welcome to the forum. The Fs and TFs are very tyre sensitive and the wrong ones can affect the handling severley, what make of tyres are on the car at the moment and what are you proposing to replace them with?? ~ i hope the information David posted was helpful. ~ it is also reccomended that you have the FOUR WHEEL TRACKING checked /adjusted after fitting new tyres.

just bought two new tires. They are toyo proxes t1-r . They look great, ? haven't tried them out yet. Need the car MOTed.
So hopefully tomorrow evening I can report how good / or bad they are.

Good tyres. Just be wary that they may not play nicely with the other brand you have on the car.

thanks Grand Master, yes i have heard that. I'll give it a test drive tomorrow, but may mean I'll have to buy two more for the front. But not sure what I will tell the light of my life (sorry sue)

Essential safety is a good excuse!! and the fronts should be cheaper as they are a smaller size. as a matter of interest how much did you pay for the rears (providing Sue is not looking) tonyb recently paid £74 each for rears & £69 for fronts fitted and balanced.

You should find that they are less noisy as the compound is softer, especially if you had Continentals previously
