Posted 13 years 4 months ago #26604I woke up on Wednesday at 7am, started out for the Netherlands at 10pm, Arrived at 8.45am on thursday an started striaght off with the list and loads of coffee, head gasket, inlet/exhaust, oil/oil filter, alternator belt, cambelt, tensioner, water pump, coolant, lower oil rail....anddddddddd the surprize addition Yuppp the big knuckle scrapper its self the Mike Satur 4-2-1 manifold,
Finished ready to start the engine at 5pm an then I look under the car while bleeding the coolant.....thermostat O ring on the pipe had gone, an its a total pain to get to when the engines all back together
by about 7pm we had tried sealing it, but I wasn't happy with it even though it worked, so it moved from being a pain to a challenge, your in another country don't speak the lingo, and need to make an O ring and most shops have shut,
By Midnight I was packing up job done...lol and my O ring is a lot better fit than the MG ones
12.30am Friday I'm setting off on the 4 hour drive to the Ferry...lol I had missed mine an had to wait for the 7.20am ferry, then an 4 hour drive over here, should have been 3 but some muppet had a crash (Not ME.. )
another 2 head gaskets done since and I'm all quiet again, but what a couple of weeks, and the last one got my details from here so thank you peoples once again
