badge by mashthetea, on Flickr
I could have prized one off for you yesterday, we had a MG6 on display from Sterling Automotive at the Bentley Wildfowl & Motor Museum gathering. (85 MGs) and about 60 other classics ~ great day.
I am sure that the missing badge would not be noticed :nonod:

Mister boring narrating over porn movie music didn't exactly inspire excitement, and it looked like they had deliberately de-shined the car and made the interior finishes seem as mis-matched as possible! :nonod:

 Thanks Simon, your efforts are much appreciated, nice selection you've put together there.
Rich, must agree, cannot see that ad attracting many people to the new MG6.
 My thoughts on the ad are that it shows a great looking MGB being driven by a good looking bloke enjoying a drive, who then he gives a disapproving look at a younger guy with a dumb smug look on his face who overtakes driving a Euro/Asian clone characterless box in a hurry to get somewhere and not enjoying the drive apart from the smug look after overtaking the little red sport car . Which car would I want having seen this ad, the little red one.
I think if they wanted to use this theme they should have made the ad a bit more like the recent John Lewis ad showing you moving on in life, approving of the next phase, even have the MGB driver then driving the MG6?
The old MGF ad was a better format, taking into account that today it would be done a lot slicker.
This 1996 ad

I thought they did a better job of the MG6 ads myself.
Oh well.....Different strokes!

   , still it just goes to prove beauty is in the eye of the beholder. In terms of production, yes the MG6 ad is a lot slicker than those produced 15 years ago, but in terms of modern advertising in the UK the MG6 ad was, I felt, rather poor and rather unclear as to whom they were trying to appeal.
Still I wish them well and hope this goes on to be the first of many new MG's we will see.
