However the ABS light is now on - all I have done is change the calipers and more of less bleed them, I haven't driven the car anywhere.
Any ideas why the light may be on?
Where do I start?
(or do I just rewire the light to the alternator warning light for Mr MOT?)

Me either, but my F still has the sensor attached to the hub , rear passenger side (possibly the driver side too but never noticed it). Sounds like it has been removed or disturbed?

The usual culprit is a failed sensor on one of the wheels.talkingcars wrote: Searching for advice I realise that the ABS light was on before I did the calipers, where do I start looking?
I don't know whether a T4 computer would narrow it down.

I suspect the later cars without ABS use the same sensor for the speed pulse for the speedo.

talkingcars wrote: Takes longer to jack each corner and remove the wheel, let alone start checking the sensors and no easy access to T4 so a quick rewire and now for some reason the ABS light goes out at exactly the same moment as the oil pressure light - spooky.

So does that mean you have ABS?
