I want to change the really long and ugly aerial on my F. I was thinking of going for a sharkfin but having seen some pics of one on a car, I changed my mind. So now Im thinking of getting the beesting type. Has anyone changed theirs and if so with what. Pics would be helpful.

I've got one off a ZR on mine, shorter than the original TF's and longer than a beesting, perfect fit as well

Apparently some bee-sting aerials are a bit poor in actually receiving radio.

The one I have Is a lot shorter than the stock one, I think it is 14 inch, the reception is better than the original, which some tea leaf nabbed whilst I was at a supermarket in London

I had a cheap one (£2.90) of fleabay
Reception not too good. Avoid

The one that the mgf centre has on its website looks promising and is reassuringly expensive (£20) but promises good reception. Also available in different finishes. I might be tempted.

You can see the type I got in the photo I posted on page 1.

It is a standard type, widely available, you can get them on ebay for a less that £5
