Is it just me, I think it looks......

..... disproportionate, putting it mildly.

They took a nice little car, a British icon, produced a very nice modern interpretation of it, however I can no longer remain silent.

What in the name of all that's holy is the huge bloated, obese, disproportionate new 'Mini'

It is huge, I saw one on the road on a dual carriageway next to a Toyota Previa people carrier today and there wasn't a lot of difference in their silhouettes except the 'Mini' looked larger and chunkier :blink:

It has become something that looks like a 4x4 SUV on steroids.




The rear view is the worst angle I reckon.

Surely there comes a point when a vehicle becomes so far removed from the original that it should be renamed

Perhaps they could call it a Maxi (don't imagine anyone bought the rights to that one) :nonod:

What a completely random tangeant the designers have taken for a mini. I hope it fails, purely for the fact its taking the ball joints.

either Mini or not mini....sort it out!! dont bring back a classic then let Jordan's surgeon free on it

If I'm not mistaken this new MGF has just come of a car transporter for delivery to the dealer, for which they pumped the suspension up, once the dealer has adjusted the hydragas down to the correct setting it'll be ok :thumbsup:

Ended up next to one of the new (Maxi) Mini, it is more ugly close up than I first thought, it is like some big ugly thug. It has lost all the qualities that made the Mini such an icon. For comparison I took a photo next to a 2003 Mini.

The photo's have not been adjusted and if anything next to the white Mini the angle of the photo should actually make it look slightly smaller than it is :omg:

Every "previously small" modern car is taking this direction.

Everything seems to be turning into a 4x4 knockoff so mums can sit in their little bubbles during the school rush while cutting you up and generally ignoring you.

The first time I saw one of the massive Minis I wasn't quite sure what was wrong with it. It looked vaguely like a Mini but it wasn't quite right. I had to give my head a shake to make sure I was sober.
How could they make something like that? :sick:
