My Mother was arriving at Newcastle airport at 0830 on Saturday, so an early start at 0630 to get there in time.
With Mum deposited safely at home, I came home and slumped on the settee with a cup of coffee and switched on the test match.
Some gardening, some DIY, some food and...
At 1945 I set off to Manchester airport to pick up my brother, arriving from Bali via Heathrow at 2210. Just passing the M6/M61 junction, and I get a phone call, little bro has missed his connection in Heathrow!
So he has to spend the night in London and I have to turn around and go home again.
Sunday morning, up at 0500, to pick my brother up - arriving 0820.
Just got back home and with a coffee in hand, I'm going to listen to the test match special... and fall asleep on the settee, no doubt!

I spent the return from Manchester(2nd visit) explaining the little bro that it cost £50 in fuel to drop him off and the same to pick him up!
He'll be flying from Newcastle in the future!

Thanks for the decal David. It looks great on Andy, and is subtle enough that the
arrogant gun-toting guards at the US border will be unlikely to notice it's resemblance to their badge.
We are finally having wonderful sunny sports car weather here but Andy is laid up waiting for parts.
I received the clutch hose I was waiting for only to find that whoever installed the last one severely
bu**ered the fittings that attach it to the hard lines. A trip to the local parts store and the Land Rover dealer
yielded no results so I will be waiting for the BBT to bring the parts from Rimmers' next week.
Seems I will be at her mercy for house cleaning duties today.
Cheers,
Rich

Sorry to hear that Andy is laid up but this does give you an opportunity to get a photo of your new badge of honour If we can ever help you source parts don't hesitate to ask.
David,
Did you do all that driving in the MGF? If it wasn't then I do sympathize  Next time your heading towards Manchester airport give me a shout, I only live 10 mins from the airport.

Down the road I am hoping to reolace the rusty subframes on my car but I expect that it will be at least a couple of years before SWMBO approves the funds!
Pic of decal to follow!
