Hardtops Anyone?

Anyone recommend a hardtop?
Or not?

We run our car all year and don't have a hardtop, no problems!
Plus storage would be a nightmare for us,:lol:

I think Hardtops are a marmite thing, tbh.

Practicality wise there'e no reason for having one, but some people like them. It's your choice really! :yesnod:

There you go then! If you want one and have somewhere to store it, why not.

The other disadvantage is you will almost certainly have to adjust the windows/seals to get it water tight.

Love them or loathe them, it's another option for our endlessly customisable cars - we've got two!

No problems with seals on either after initital adjustment.

Now's the ideal time to pick one up cheap.

I can think of many reasons to have a hard top, but non of them involve putting it on a car. :nonod:

we bought one for George's first winter...I actually quite liked the way the car felt different :dry: ...but missed being able to fling the roof back on sunny days. The second winter i couldn't put it on by myself...so it stayed propped up in my bedroom and the third winter I sold it to a lad in Spain (gets too hot there to put the roof down!)...I wouldn't bother with another

Having just searched convertibles for sale for a couple of weeks I found myself disregarding some very good cars because they had hardtops accompanying the sale. It's not a negative and I could always complicate things by selling it on for the right car. I wanted a car without one, so that I can 'drop top' 90% of the year. But like someone else said "each to their own".

Might be a point to consider when you come to selling. Maybe you could have two prices, one with the hardtop, one without. For people like me.. and some others, evidently.

I think they make the car look great, but that's just my opinion.
