Hi all,
Got a new cigarette lighter with a blue surround. Can anyone suggest the easiest place to pick up a feed for the light.I do not want it on all the time so linking it to the cigarette lighter feed is not an option.I thought about the clock light feed but the adjacent vent did not appear to want to move with the amount of force I was prepared to use.

Mine is illuminated all the time, fed from the lighter feed, but you can only see it at night, anyway.

If you want to link it via the clock illumination, the central vents come out quite easily by sliding a thin flat blade(screwdriver, penknife) between the bottom of the vent and the dash and lever it out. Push down on the other end of the blade. The vent will pop out.

ps take care not to damage the dash!

Thanks David,
Will try and get the vent out when I have a bit more time, check the cable colours and try and pick it up behind the kick panel.
