Decided to do the tyre pressures today and checked several online guides which consistently gave me these details;-
Tyre Pressure results for: (my cars registration number)
Make: ROVER MG
Model: MGTFSPORTS
Colour: GREY
We have found 1 tyre size that matches your vehicle.
Your tyre pressures are as follows:
Tyre Size
Front Tyres: 195/45R16 W 80 - 1.7 BAR / 25 PSI
Rear Tyres: 215/40R16 W - 2.5 BAR / 37 PSI
Only my tyres are;- Front 185/55/R15 and Back;- 205/50/R15. I measured the wheels at 16 inches across the centre. So, couple of questions please..
1. Are the different tyres because of the wheels being slightly larger?
2. Would the tyre pressures be the same?
3. Anything else?

The wheel size is measured where the rim of the tyre sits on the wheel, so a 15" wheel measures about 16" across the outer face, confusingly. :yesnod:

Cheers both.

David is quite correct, not advisable to run them lower causes excessive tyre wear. you should always come here first, there is a lot of other forums giving incorrect information!!
