The second is the simple exhaust bracket that goes from the downpipe to cat joint and around the back box, nothing speciel (effectivly a large jubilee clip) number 8 on here: http://www.rimmerbros.co.uk/Item--i-GRID000202 Part number WCU100870
any idea where i can get both for a good price? my local place can get them but in about 2 weeks!

Sussex classic car parts have the Exhaust bracket SGF140179 £42.00 each plus P&P ~ they also have the heater bypass pipe complete about £37.00 but you will need to contact them to confirm the exact part.
You could also try the MG Owners Club www.mgocspares.co.uk or the MGF Centre in Wolverhampton www.mgfcentre.com

I've been running Meg without that pesky exhaust bracket for 2 or more years now ever since it fell to bits when I changed the CAT! NO ill effects. All it actually seems to do is rust the back box!
