Not used them personally but have heard good things about them. They are near Silverstone and IIRC are about £220.

It will depend on where you live Arron. :yesnod:
Also on whether you want a rolling road tuned remap.
I know Clive and others used a firm in the North east to remap and rolling road. I think Clive is running around 179bhp, at the minute.

my only concern is that they seem a little unreliable as it is , worried about the re map. would i really see a noticeable difference with a remap?

TBH, discounting the head gasket and coolant leaks, they are a very good engine, and a good remap does nothing to affect the reliability of the engine,

Do you get an increase in power on a standard engine from a remap? I'm considering one at some point too but it's a vvc with a K&N and 52mm throttle body

Only Mems 3 is remappable, I understand.

So you'll need a MY2000 or newer, with the coils sitting on top of the plugs.

Ah I see! Mine is a 2000 model but not a MEMS3. Never mind, goes really well anyway!
