Scrap to gold!

I've just taken my old MGF exhaust and a ZS door and wing to the local scrap metal merchant - £6.50 for 45kg.

I then popped up to the local breakers yard and walked out with a MGF trophy front splitter for £6.00 :thumbsup:

I also had the interior mirror and the door mirror screws from it, sadly the boot spoiler had gone as had the centre consol and the door cards, and the roof had a hole.

They also have a BRM with all exterior moldings and a complete interior except the door cards.

Just been to the scrappy myself (GW Bridges). Got a headlight, black windscreen surround and AP calipers which they have had sitting to one side for me for ages.

I get staff rates as i look after their computers, so cheating slighty, plus paid cash which seems to throw the VAT calulation out by 20%, ended up being £150 in all in, that included an complete Mk5 Astra wing mirror as well
