I like your positive attitude! :yesnod:Rich in Vancouver wrote: At least I can see how my Mark 2 console looks while I have everything apart. I can't decide whether to sand it smooth and paint it silver or go with the original gray finish. Unfortunately I haven't got a Mark 2 heater panel yet so I can't install it permanently.
Has it got that rubberised finish on the console? Apparently nail varnish remover is perfect to take it off without damaging the shiny black plastic underneath.

Posted 13 years 4 months ago #26261I got a couple of coats of silver on it last night. I used a Krylon plastic paint as a primer and was planning on using silver wheel paint as a top coat but the Krylon looks so good I may just clear coat that.

Posted 13 years 4 months ago #26267Looks good from here! :thumbsup:Rich in Vancouver wrote: Ha! I took a look at the console this morning and it seems I didn't get all of the texture off (I had eye surgery on Wednesday and my eyes are still wonky) I do like the look though. Regardless I am too da*n lazy to strip the paint and start again so I think I will use the console as-is. I will give it a bit of a clean-up to remove some dust, and possibly a clear coat.
