Hi all,

I've got to replace one rear tyre on the bat" - so I may as well make a good job of it and replace both!

When I bought the old girl back in August she came with Nexan Roadstone N3000's 215/40 ZR16's.

I obviously want good roadholding action from the rear wheels and I'm open to suggestions from my peers!

I'll look forward to hearing from you all!

Cheers!

Agreed, even as a lowly passenger in Slave 1 I can feel the difference in driving after we put those tyres on :)

Thanks guys - I've done a quick scout about the "wonderweb" & Fleabay - various prices found - can anybody point me in the right direction in terms of average/actual price and supplier? Cheers! Richard

Morning all! Thanks very much for all your helpful advice, I reviewed Toyo, Nexan, etc but have finally settled for Lassa's ????? £58.00 per tyre fitted - please see below ......

New Impetus Sport from Lassa

Lassa Tyres have launched the Impetus Sport, a new, W rated ultra high performance tyre, which is being introduced in a range of fourteen 16", 17" and 18" fitments during the course of the year.

The new tyre features a unidirectional tread pattern with wide circumferential grooves and numerous connected slant grooves on the tread and shoulder, which have been designed to provide high resistance to aquaplaning.

Meanwhile, a high wet grip compound has been incorporated to provide unique wet grip
handling. The Impetus Sport also features a reinforced body ply and reinforced belt edges to allow for greater stability at high speeds, whilst steel bead inserts assure greater ride comfort from reduced body roll and improved steering.

Get to know Lassa

Lassa was established in 1974 by the Sabanci Group, one of Turkey’s leading industrial conglomerates. In 1988 it significantly increased its capacity and product range by becoming joint venture partners with the Bridgestone Corporation.

This partnership forms the award-winning Brisa Corporation.

Have a look at the corporate web sites www.sabanci.com and www.bridgestone.com .

The Lassa brand is backed by enormous resource and investment – facilitating the production of a high-quality range of excellent products.

The capacity to deliver

The integrated plant in Kentsa,Turkey covers over two million square metres. It includes a specific tyre reproduction facility which is in excess of three hundred thousand square metres. It is one of the world’s largest tyre factories and has a dedicated research and development centre.

Quality without compromise and Great coverage

Brisa is dedicated to the production of top-quality Lassa tyres. Brisa supply Lassa tyres to over 50 countries worldwide through an impressive distributor network. Through distributors who are specially selected for their location, logistics and experience.

No - they're not paying me to "plug" (pun!) they're new tyre range!!!!

I'll let you know how I get on with them.

Cheers for now!

Actually they look very similar to the Nexen N6000 tyre.

I think it is a brave decision to go for an 'unknown' make. Keep us updated on them.
