I went to this show today.
Firstly, I have to apologise for not putting this event into the upcoming events section, I meant to do it last weekend but totally forgot.
Anyway, the event ran from 10.00am til 4.30 pm. Owing to other commitments I wasn't able to get there until about 1.30. Within 10 minutes of my arrival the heavens opened but soon cleared to a blustery and non too warm afternoon. There was a good turn out of MGs (pics below) No F's that I saw but two TFs (a 02 and a 04 plate). I was going to have a chat to the owners, but as the afore mentioned rain came when I was at the MG stand the owners were safely enclosed in their cars. There was a good turn out of other makes from vintage to more modern cars, also motorbikes, tractors, steam engines etc. Its a shame the weather wasnt kinder as I would imagine more people would have attended. Id recommend to anyone next year (July 15th). Entrance fee was £6 Here are some pics of the MGs. I hope to find time to upload pics of other makes to flickr later in the week if anyone is interested ... Ill give a link when Ive done it.

Nice one, shame about the weather.

Were there lots of MG metros, MG maestros and MG montegos?

Home to black Alfa Romeo 159 3.2 V6 Q4 ,green MGF VVC and red MG Maestro T16.

MG - the friendly marque.

Not one; makes you wonder how many are still about. Weren't they prone to rust?

Neither of the 2 I still own have any serious rust after 18 or so years, neither has been driven in 3 years either.

It's more a case of snobbery, they were never accepted in the same way the zeds were.

must admit that I never liked the looks of either the montego or the metro....I quite liked the Meastro though

Some great photos there and some loveley MGs too. it was wet here too on Sunday (Surrey), in fact it was bloody wet, 200 MGs on a 70 mile run to the finish at Painshill Park, Cobham and they were coming in like drowned Rats, i was a bit drowned too!! manned the entrance gate for 4 hours in the p*****g rain and guess what it stopped and the sun came out later after most had gone!!! Still we raised around £2500 for charity. will post some pictures.
