Is it correct that the normal temp of oil should be at 80 deg C, was asked yesterday and was not sure. The needle is on the second mark between 60 and 120 or is that 90 ??

Mines an F with 100 000 miles on the clock and the oil just creeps above 60! Don't know whether thats good or bad, but the water temp is spot on: just below half way.

The problem is that the oil temp gauge is well known for its 'individual' behaviour. They indicate temp, rather than show exact readings
I think ours reads 60-90 generally, and 100-10 if you give the car a good thrashing!
As long as the readings on your gauge are consistent in the way it moves with harder use, don't worry!
