How difficult was it to get it to blend around all the curves etc is it stretchy or did you have to do some selective cuts here and there?
Brilliant job.

Basically I laid the sheet over the console and then used a hairdryer to stretch it into and over the fiddly bits. :yesnod:
I needed to use a separate piece for the area below the switches, as it was impossible to cover that area with the main sheet.(at least, it was for me.
I was wondering whether to try one of those shiny alloy pieces for the switch area?(its a real pain to do this bit) or maybe alloy the heater surround but

I once had a scirocco (in fact Ive had 4, but that's another story). The black vinyl on the bit between the front and rear side windows had started to crack and peel and I replaced that with Halfords carbon effect vinyl, but that didnt look anywhere near as good as the stuff you have used. Think Ill be buying some to play with.

For a fiver you get enough to do two consoles. I practised with the extra before starting on the console. :yesnod:rog1963 wrote: the gaiter surround seems to look good against it so I suspect alloy switch surround would look good too.
