we had a customer order one of our refurbished cars so they choose what colour, what wheels, what colour leather and a list of other options.so we have to purchase a donar car to restore ready for our customer,so we will post photos of the project as we go,attached is one of the completed E S B we hold in stock ready for a customers car.
the car order is a red mk2 vvc with 16 inch abingdon wheels, cream leather seats, red carpet
wind deflector, chrome pack and sports exhaust.
So we will find a red car that will be taken apart refurbished with new parts and be ready in 8 weeks time.the car will go through 500 seperate checks 300 mile test run after her build and will look almost brand new.with new leather ,carpet, and all service items and suspension joints replaced.
we service and repair loads of mgf but we also rebuild these cars and that is the best job in the world.seeing a car leave that is as good as new inside, outside, and underside.

Sounds fantastic! A good way to get a practically new MGF. Probably better built than the original too! Looking forward to watching its progress...

And it also means more MGFs are kept on the road rather than being scrapped! So that has to be a good thing

good mgf will become classics and worth money, bad mgfs will be scrapped.so in order to keep our company running we need to build mgfs.and that the best job.this way the whole car gets done in one go.most of my customer just want a weekend car,no problems and no repairs.you guys love messing around with your cars.so for some one to be able to order a car and choose what they want to a budget they can afford they love.the order is around 5k but a lot of hours go into them and a lot of money.but its easier to have the clutch,hg,suspension bushes and brakes replaced in one go then many trips to the garage.I will post some pictures of some subframes we take out of cars.the bits you cant see are the bits that rust.and the tfs are the worst for rusting.
I like this forum, the other ones get a bit silly, with people getting serious and up tight about there cars.whoes is faster and makes more noise. If any of you guys are in the area you are always welcome to pop in and see what we do,I do believe at present we are the only company doing this to mgfs, tf .
I do plan to build a car for myself one day

If you can find time, any chance of an interior picture. I'd like to go cream/red eventually and am always on the look out for pictures of this combination for ideas.
Thanks

Daz, it would be good to see some pics of your upgraded interiors, with prices if you have them.
