rear window demister
Is there a step by step tutorial anywhere on fitting the electrics on a rear window electric heater, Just bought a hard top and can't even find where the lead plugs in (if i had one), I have seen a kit on E-bay and was wondering how big a job it was,or does it need doing professionally.
With Thanks And hope.

It's an easy job. The lead and plug to the window will be hidden under the carpet on the parcel shelf (passenger side).
The plug to the switch will be behind the blanking plug on the switch panel.
The relay fits into the bottom right of the fusebox under the steering wheel. That's it sorted! :yesnod:

Just make sure you get the right one for your car, as the switch is different on later cars from the original one.

Phil..
The Mk1 F(pre 2000) had the older switchgear.
2001 on- all had the same newer switchgear.

True, good point! :thumbsup:Tsleight wrote: Note to earlier model drivers: don't assume, check! At some stage in its life my 99 vvc has had a new style console fitted, so will need the newer kit. Also on sale at MGOC.
To check, if your gear lever surround is round, it's a mk2 console.
If the surround is rectangular, it's a mk1 console. :yesnod: '
