Still around...still planning a comeback. Illness not getting better, results of blood tests known by doc, but not me yet, (they have been trying to get me all week apparently ..). Those on FB or twitter will know all about it.

anyway...quick update....thermostat coolant leak....still there (its actually predicable on how much ti loses due to temp of engine /distance traveled when thermostat open etc, so can still use for daily drive, just not more than 20 miles or so at a time). Having said that, I havent used it for about 3 weeks. Not had time or motivation/strength to fix it really.

On Monday I was returning from a 300 mile trip to edinburgh and my Golf packed in, in the dark in the city centre of Aberdeen. Not too bad, but I was bringing a schoolgirl student back from Edinburgh in full school uniform...cue the looks from the AA guy when he asked it it was my daughter and I said no...........and the tone of voice from her dad, when she said we had broken down.........

Anyway, no probs, I'll take the F to work as its a slow leak.......wrong....battery was dead after sitting for so long...so back on public transport. anyway, got the batt charged and its been fine ever since (bar the slow leak) ...but something is happening on monday.....MOT!!!

Not a good week LOL......but I will keep open to the possibility of getting a nice surprise from Morag and her passing....its not that unlikely....is it........

Don't miss me too much...I will be back to full posting mode once I get this illness sorted.....promise!

Still need to fit my SS manifold etc to show off the pics before I cack it

I'm surprised you haven't figured out an extra large reservoir for coolant with all that lab equipment laying about.:shrug:

Now THERE is a question David.........cant we just add another coolant tank somewhere, so that by time coolant alarm goes off, there's still plenty "spare" before any damage is done...... (serious question)
