i have mine with lancaster insurance but its a second car with ltd milage. insurance can be a minefield with post code , occupation etc i know some people who are the same age as me 35 miles apart and pay over £100 cheaper insurance. best bet is to shop around and when they give you a quote tell them you have had a cheaper one they will try to beat other quotes but dont expect huge savings as your age is against you. i hope this helps

Good luck! As a 19 year old i suspect insurance will be more than the cost of the car... :omg:

I would definitely sort the insurance before you commit to the car. :yesnod:
Try pricing for a 1.6 TF as well. The difference in performance is negligible, but the insurance may be less costly.

If you can, put your mum on as an additional driver, I put my girlfriend on both of my policies and that brought both my premiums down though it does help that she has full no claims and trained to be a driving instructor!
Having said that though, next year will be interesting as my first MG was written off after a month by an audi with dodgy breaks! Hopefully I'll still be able to insure it's replacement TF next year.
After the side story though, Im with Lancaster with limited miles on the car as it's a second car rather than the main one. Other than losing the car for a while while it was being assessed for damage (common problem as the are too many companies and people involved in claims these days) the service has been excellent.

I haven't looked lately, but several years ago Adrian Flux were very good for specialist insurance policies
