well russell came today to do my headgasket and coolant pipes , what can i say the man is fast 3 1/2 hrs latter all done. after speaking to russell he is a very nice and honest chap and knows his stuff. he showed me where the gasket had failed it was a mls gasket and according to russell had not been on the car long . but looking at the gasket you can see where they had damaged it putting the head bolts back in

saint russell arrives

you can see the gasket has split and where the head bolt has caught and damaged the head gasket

head and cams showing the oil and coolant coffee mix

block with head off

saint russell at work

nearly all done

Excellent!
Russell is one of a rare breed. A good mechanic who's honest and knows his stuff!

Your headgasket failure shows why the average numpty shouldn't be allowed anywhere near these engines!

we get around 3 cars a week that garages have got it wrong,in fact there mistakes are basic.thank god they dont repair planes.we have been involed with these cars for years,we keep bills down and use second hand parts in need be with customers consent of course, and photo our work.i like having a small busy work shop and over the years customers become friends and thats the best way.and if you want repeat busniess work on mgfs .im bad really owning two mgfs and working on them all day every day I should be a fan.I do like them and I do enjoy them.
