Rear wheel arch liners

Rear wheel arch liners was created by mowog73

I recently discovered that my F is missing the both rear wheel arch liners. I found a picture of what the right hand side liner is suppose to look and last night I set about and made one from sheet metal. It’s not exactly the same as the original but it will do the trick; it will keep dirt and water away from the alternator.

But I have not been able to find a clear picture of the left hand side rear wheel arch liner. From the picture I have found it looks like it has louvers in it. Does someone have a picture of the left hand side liner that they could share with me?

The left hand side one on mine didn't have louvres in it.
It was one unadulterated piece of soggy cardboard type material.
The right one had disappeared before I bought the car.
I replaced them both with two covers from redundant plastic boxes.

You can see part of the driver's side one here. Outlined in orange dots.

The other night I decided to go out and make my own for the driver's side. Using cardboard to make a template, I cut a new one out of sheet metal, put a couple bends in it with my brake and within an hour a new one was made. Not as pretty as the original but didn't cost me a 20 either.

I was thinking the same thing Leigh when I posted the picture this morning. Once I get the clutch bled and the car back on the road, I'll spend some time cleaning and painting the rear sub frame. I also have spot of rust to fix on the passenger side as well.

Great job there, well done that man.
If my info is correct MGR never made a cover for the near side, just the off side to try and protect the belts. A "soggy cardboard" type thing on the F and a moulded plastic jobby for the TF. I am on my second for the TF, not quite sur e what happened to the first

As the nearside ''soggy'' was still attached to my car, I'm sure they did make and fit them at some point, :yesnod:
The offside one had been reduced to a couple of tabs around the fixing screws. :nonod:
