How light can you make an F?
removing engine is not a valid answer lol...
what do people do to lighten the F? seems a very lardy car for its size...
Hell my fully laiden Excel is only 1050kgs, and thats got nearly 200kgs of leather and sound-deadening!
When done mine will be 900kgs with a V8 and supercharger! Just wondering if i can lighten the F so its not so embarasingly slow...

You could remove all the sound deadening, the hood, electric window winders, spare wheel, carpet, boot liner, under bonnet trim, stereo and even the door cards.
Then replace the side windows with perspex and fit light weight seats although the standard ones aren't that heavy anyway.
You could even remove the boot completly and have a massive engine bay and replace doors, boot and bonnet with carbon fibre.

for me all i need is a heater, radio is nice but non-essential, needs to be weather tight, and would like to keep hood...
dont need sound deadening (used to lotus philosophy, of squeeks, rattles and clonks over bumps...)
just wondered how much lard can be removed... want to keep boot space too...
what could i remove to strip it down and keep it road legal?
