..and passed! With only one advisory for play in N/SF lower ball joint. Oh, and an Italian tune up to get the emissions to pass.

I had an interesting chat with the tester about matters relating to our world.

According to him blocked-out brake callipers with bigger discs should not be a problem, as long as they are efficient enough and fitted securely.

Also said that the Epas pull left shouldn't be a fail. Taking out the fuse to disable the power steering would be a fail, however. :nonod:

New to the MOT - Brake balance test will now include the rear brakes as well as the front.

Well done!

Thankfully we don't have to jump through those hoops here in Queensland..... yet. Southern states do so probably only a matter of time.

Great News :woohoo: :woohoo: I thought the brake balance on the rears was always in the previous test?? my testing station has always run the brake tester on each back wheel in turn as well as the fronts, perhaps it is just the way they do it

Get that lower ball joint done before it get worse and buggers a tyre

The front brakes have to be within 25% of each other. This is now extended to the rears (same 25%)
This time my fronts were only 7% imbalanced and the rears were 15% so the car would have passed the rear test. :yesnod:
