I've just tried again and without being logged in the forum loads in less than 2 seconds.

But then it took 20 seconds to log in.

Must be a big clue there Simon. :-? :-?

It's like when you meet a new person, they give you attention, help you, do things for you, spend time on you. Then, once they've seen you a few times, you have to repeat things to get them to respond, they try and ignore you on the quiet. :( Next Pysmon will be telling us "it's not you it's me" :omg:

I think it happened when Simon has been resetting the forum. I've got it too.

There seems to be 2 parts to the error:
1. All Topics were reset to show as "New" (but at least this gets reset when the topic is read again)
2. When a new message is added to a Topic, ALL messages in that Topic are counted as New so you cannot see how many messages are actually New.

Sorry that was me, I killed off the database table that stores the list of what a user has and hasn't read, It pretty big table, was though it is was damaged hence speed problem when logged in, But it wasn't as it turns out.

Hitting the 'Mark all posts read' in the forum index will reset it for you.
