Alarm issue

Reset alarm, came inside, back to bed...car alarm goes off again. Maybe the spider that keeps building a web in my parcel shelf...but also interior cabin lighting not working when doors opened, boot lighting not working when boot opened, but checked battery and its 12.6 V and car starts first time, so not power issue......I suspect rear wiring loom issue?
Normally I'd post a reply to anyone else with a 2am alarm to check boot loom, but not sure I've had the interior lighting fail before with a rear loom problem (funny how its not so easy to offer advice when its your own car lol) . Also I checked the loom just after I bought the car and it had been previously (and professionally repaired)
Sitting on manual lock just now so nervous all night lol
What do you reckon.........boot loom?

broon wrote: One fo the bolts/nuts has rounded...I don't mean the bolt has rounded I mean the bolt turns in the nut but it doesn't tighten or loosen.....it just goes round so cant even take it off. And of course its the one that is the most impossible to reach with any tools etc, so I don't know how I can get it off. Will try dremmel but its a bit close to oil the oily bits so I'll probably set fire to it.

You mean the thread has gone in the nut or on part of the bolt? Sometimes downward pressure on the bolt helps the nut come off, but I know how hard they are to get to.
I would just leave that nut and bolt in situ. Put another nut on top of the first one and tighten down with that.. :yesnod:

Took a day off work and spent another 5 hours in the cold, made a fortune in the swear box, added lots of scars to arm and found out just how much you can shout and swear in public without getting arrested.
In the end I got it off. Bolt was smooth in the middle! Replaced bolt....same thing happened! used a different bolt.....eventually got it sorted!
Treated her to an oil change, filter change, K+N clean, fixed leaking cat gasket, hydragas pump up and a wee interior tidy to say sorry.....this had BETTER be it for the winter!
Oh....and by the way.....boot loom is perfect.....but I found out what blew the fuse....as I did it again ....was when disconnecting boot light when open for a while, seems to short out easily and blow fuse!
