Recognise this F --> TF conv with bonnet vents?

Found this 1997 F converted to resemble a TF with bonnet vents up for sale in Jan 2006.
I seriously doubt the vents were functional, more likely just cosmetic, perhaps even inspired by the bonnet vents of the MG SV?







DVLA records show the vehicle has VIC marker against it and it's road tax expired in March 2008, so it may have met an untimely end and was written off at that time.

Was just wondering if any of you had ever seen this car before?

Never seen it. Looks tidy though (or did).

The vents are too far up the bonnet to be useful and they look as though they are blanked off anyway.

Thought the vents were just cosmetic.

It is so unusual I guess if anyone had ever seen they would definitely remember.
