Well its on, to be honest there's not that much difference.
The exhaust note does sound deeper and it seems to breath easier, not had it much above 20 miles an hour though, just round the block.
Real test will be the run back to Carlisle, then its swap back to the cat for the MOT and then back on...

what backbox have you got on Darren? I have considered decatting BCAWW but couldnt cope with it on Monty he is loud enough

Got a Scorpion on, I know they're not famed for the noise they produce I was going down the road of quad finishers and just something different from OEM. Oh and the price was decent.

It would be interesting to see what sort of economy a TF could achieve if it was remapped for de-catted use. You are running about 10% richer than stochiometric on the motorway to avoid melting the thing. You would need one of those mutiple map ECUs, or a spare to swap our when you put the cat back on though.

Think the lambda sensor in the downpipe adjusts the fuel mix according to what it senses but dont hold me to that.

An Emerald ECU is the next big purchase on my list, think I can have a few maps with a switch so one of those could for max mpg for those long tramps down the motorway.
