Unfortunately, these tyres are becoming hard to find.
I was unable to source any when I needed to replace the front tyres.
I have always been in favour of using tyres of the same make and model on the car, but was now in the position of having two newish N3000s on the rear, but having to replace the fronts with different tyres.
I discussed this with my usual tyre supplier and he phoned around, and finally he suggested we use the Nexen N6000 tyre on the front. He had been reassured that the tyres are completely compatible with the 3000s.
With the proviso that we would bring the car back if we were unhappy, we had these N6000s fitted.
The new tyres are not as visually attractive as the 3000s, but how do they stack up?
Conclusion
Having used this setup for a couple of weeks during which I have tried to test out the grip levels, I am now satisfied that the tyres are compatible. The car is handling in the same manner as before. we have driven on dry roads as well as roads awash with water and I have detected no problem. :yesnod:

My idea was to try the T1-Rs on the front but my supplier couldn't get any guarantee that they would be compatible with the N3000s.CJJ;3537 wrote: Good find, but you'll never prise me away from my Toyos.
If the N6000s had proved a let-down, the Toyo's would have been next.
I think there's someone else using the 6000s, but I can't remember who.
edit- Teri and The jester are using the Nexen N6000s.
Any thoughts from you two?

I am running 215/40/16 all round too.. I have had them about 3 months now and havent really found any issues with them. Seem good in the dry and equally as good in the wet...
Reasonable priced tyres too...

I was wondering what to put on the TF when the time comes and had a look at prices but could not find a Nexen tyre for the front (195 x 45 16") so I will have to either go to 215s all round or pick something else. The current Goodyear GSD 2s are good but pricey to replace.
