How easy is it to repair heater settings was created by leemcmini

How do! i seem to be down to only settings three and four on the heater now, how easy is it to repair? ebay do a replcament kit for about 25 quid would it be easier to buy that as i'm no good with electrics! :ohmy:

If you can use a soldering iron, the job's easy. Just replace the broken coiled wire resistor with your choice of replacement.

Easy job. If you can't/don't want to solder your own then buy a new one from Ebay. Cheaper to solder your own, but not as convenient!

Need to be able to stand on your head to get the resistor pack holder out, otherwise easy, if you can solder :broon:
