Engine should rev to 8500 before the power starts to drop off!

Posted 12 years 9 months ago #45368you will need to find the resistance match for the fuel and temp gauge then the pwm signals for speed and revs
then convert the sinals from the tf to match the honda
so each one will require a special one of converter pcb and these are not of the shelf product
as for oil and time clocks if done this in the past for peeps
and these
mad about cars and bikes
if it aint broke dont fix it

There are off the shelf products available for all of the above, but there's enough info to do it yourself if you're good with electronics.

Posted 12 years 9 months ago #45409i am an electronics designer lol and done work for prodrive and Noble
there may be convertes on the shelf but not an exact match so lets say american standard gauge is 240-33 ohms however ford use 7- 85 ohms vauxhall use 12 -120 ohms
industry standards are usualy #
10-180 ohms
240-33 ohms
3-180 ohms
0-90 ohms
90-0 ohms
jcb use 0-90 and 8 - 108 ohms and thats just for the gauge
then the signal from the ecu is driven mainly on pwm but also frequency is also used
some use a fixed 20-80 % at x frequency
and some are 40-60 % at y frequency #
and some have a vairiable pwm signal at a fixed frequency
also some work on 5v rails and some on 3.3v rails
so converting a fixed pwm to a vairiable pwm and level shifting from 3.3 to say 5 v is not that simple as you need to ensure accuracy or you might
1 get a speeding fine
2 over rev the engine (past red line )
this is some thing i designed about 4 years ago
Race fuels level sensor - T/LL136
A liquid level sensor specifically for race fuels which provides a continuous output of tank contents in either resistance, voltage or PWM formats. Available for tank depths between 200mm and 600mm it can be used with most aggressive fuel additives
and i signed this off last month
