Worried by smoke
I reversed off the drive and up the road to turn around, then reversed back down to the drive. When I slowed down to get on to the drive I thought the car was blowing white smoke and thought "HGF". I reversed into the garage and left it to cool down.
After an hour or so I checked the coolant - all there to the level. Checked the oil - no signs of mayo.
Am I being paranoid? Could it have just been exhaust gas condensation? Any other things I need to check?

In cold weather you can get condensation from the exhaust after even a short time cool down. Don't worry, unless it doesn't stop when the car is fully warmed up.Polo;4800 wrote: Strange thing happened this afternoon - I had the MGF out for a spin today - no problems whilst driving, it went like a dream. Got back from picking my son up from school then after about 1/2 hour went to put it in the garage.

Thanks David - it was only a short time cool down, so wasnt expecting any condensation from the exhaust.
Will take it out again tomorrow and check it over again.
