got a email off piston heads today informing me that the F1 GP is going back to Silver-stone, this seems surprising to no-one except the managing director of Donnington Park, the British press and some tribesmen indigenous to the sahara...


I was there for a track day (in a 911) in september and less than 10 months from race day they had done NOTHING and the facilities looked about as modern as eden camp... not to mention the track wasn't evan long enough for a GP!


what a shambles, look what barhain and other new tracks have accomplished in such a short time and yet one of the oldest and best tracks in the world cant get their act together... if you don't have the money don't go for the race! Donnington have managed to make the country with the best race tracks in the world look like total T*Ts

hope not mate it's one hell of a track it just needs dragging out of the 70s!

i was there for the world superbikes and the facilties were appalling....granted lots of prep work was under way but to make it to F1 standards?...was never gonna happen.....i got back to work and i bet one of lads a tenner it wouldnt be at donnington...he felt sure it would be.....still waiting for him to pay up though...:whistle:

lol sounds about right, it's a shame to be fair, first ever road race i saw was at Donnington when i was about 8 to see Foggy ride in WSB... hope the circuit gets some dosh
