QPHW 2561cc Wolseley 18/80 ohv engine 18HP
Q being a 2L 6 cyl, P being OHV, H being a 69mm bore and 6 cylinder unit, and W being Wolseley sourced.
This assumes PDQ is right about it being a WA, I am sure he is.

However, QPHW is not the engine code as used in the WA. MG spec was a bit higher than Wolseley.

QPJG 2322cc MG WA ohv engine 18HP.
But I thought that this was an error and referred to the SA and not the WA.
If the code was different then I imagine it must be QPHG?

I am puzzled as the capacity for that code indicates a smaller capacity as used on the SA. But thanks for confirming it.
Come on, PQD, let's have the next question PDQ.
