Congrats to the both of you.

Free travel to exotic undiscovered places? Does that mean you might come up north some time?

Can't imagine what you will be buying for the green machine now you have a pay packet. Are you moving for the job?

 Thank you mate.

Unfortunately Virgin discovered the North - then went back down south again! :p

Oh mate I'm soooo gonna pamper slave 1! Leather dash, resprayed a nice flip paint colour, engine conversion... ooh so much fun things to buy!!! :cloud9:

Yup we will be moving up there. They've actually fairly recently built a really plush housing estate which is a 4 minute walk from "The Base" so we've gotta try & move there! :yesnod:

MGFmad;8226 wrote: Brilliant news - when do you both start and will you be working at the same time?

I might just have a drink or 3 on your behalf...only to toast your good news of course. There is no benefit in it for me:whistle:

Thanks David! :chewie:

I give you permission to drink as many drinks as you like on our behalf! In fact I order you to! :lecture:

We start on the 15th & do 5 weeks training together and after that we get given our shift rota so not sure how often our shifts will coincide yet.

Alias;8229 wrote: I start my new job on the 15th too! Where have you got to move to?

Ooh that's spooky! Well 15th is officially my lucky number now! :woo2:

We're moving to Crawley - not sure if you know it?

Adam-MGTF;8240 wrote: after consulting the heavens i've decided you are in fact destained for a future in the aerospace industry as a designer... you will in fact invent the first gecko powered paper airplane that can carry over 1000 passengers to Tahiti and back in under 4 hours

Thanks for the advice mate! I do know what you're saying but as it is shift work the idea of finishing a shift at 1am and being home 4 minutes later is nicely reassuring!

Nooo. Jonnocash is right.

There is nothing better than a 15 - 20 minute topless blast to destress you before you get home, and yes, I do mean at 1 am. :yesnod:

Lol! Clive as a woman I can safely say that that extra 15 mins of beauty sleep is far more needed that a 15 min drive!

Plus I'll have the weekends to take her for a blast which means I'll appreciate the time I have with her more! AND it's much better for my wallet if I can walk to work rather than put petrol in Slave... oh yeah & think of the environment or something... :err:

Congratulation, a bit late, but just been trying to catch up with news.

I used to live in Shamley Green (so did Branson I believe!) which is only about 10 miles as the crow flies. Lovely all around there.
